Incompetence

Last year 2014 November, our son was involved in an accident and was rushed to the Dr as he had led stuck in his ear. The procedure was booked as an emergency and Dr. Partel called in Bed ford Gardens Private Hospital and medical aid to make arrangements. As parents we got a sigh of relief that the medical aid has approved and authorized his admission and all was well. What a sense of false promises. Three days later, I received calls from Wheatcroft D A ,Anesthesiologist and Dr. Partel that my medical aid has rejected full payment and I am liable to pay a portion of the medical bill. This has been going on since November last year to only be informed that the incorrect code was used, now its a set of new rules. I called in to follow up up and again yet no help. <br> <br> It is sad that one places hope on Discovery to avoid such and when helped is required, one is shut down with false expectations. Monthly premiums are collected and yet has to watch while money is flushed down the drain.
