Incompetance

I recently changed companies after working with the same company for over 15 years. The new company uses Discovery Health as their service provider. I completed the normal application form and also attached my certificate of membership from the old medical aid. I then was very surprised to receive their offer which included a late penalty charge of 50% (and the pleasure of a waiting period). This despite being medical aid member for my entire working life. I now have to apply with a special form giving them my life history of my medical aid history going back to the start of my working career. Needless to say I dont have that information. So I will be looking for another medical aid company who understands what a medical aid membership certificate means.
