Impossible to join Discovery Medical Aid

Application for Discovery Health Medical Aid: My son turned 21 at the beginning of June and as a result, he has become an adult dependent on my medical aid as he is not a full time student.

We decided to apply to Discovery Health and join one of their Hospital Plans and add gap cover. I first app**** early in July, having completed the application in full together with other docs required such as ID and proof of current medical aid.

Two weeks after we completed the application digitally, we were informed that 3 pages had to be signed manually, we did so and scanned and returned to discovery applications only to be told that the date of the signatures did not correspond with the date of the signatures. The pages required were signed on the 24/07/2024 and dated 24/07/2024 as well.

Since then, I have had no further correspondence from the application department after I enquired on numerous occasions as to what else was needed or had I not supp**** all the information required.

I have received an email communication from Bantu Boltina Discovery Health Medical Scheme (New Business Department Agent) who gave me the same answers as the application department and did not help, I have since been trying to email him but no response.

It seems my son should consider other options as far as medical aids are concerned.
