Immoral or ********?

*** We joined Discovery Health with effect 1st May 2010, we paid our first premium on 1st March 2010 - that was TWO months in advance. Last month we changed our banking details, I informed Discovery on 29th April - I asked for banking details to make an eft, but this was only supp**** to me on 4th May. I made the payment and sent the confirmation to Discovery on 6th May. When my husband wanted to order his chronic medication he couldn't because our membership was suspended. I couldn't believe this, if we were habitual late payers, yes, then I can understand, but we have NEVER defaulted in six years! I cannot decide if this is just immoral, or both immoral and ********.

Thank you for allowing us to address your concerns.

We investigated your concerns and can confirm that when a debit order is returned to the Scheme unpaid, the membership is automatically suspended. This is a standard process that applies to all members. This is done so that we treat all of our members fairly, equally and to make sure the Scheme is not put at risk. All debit orders are finalised by the 23rd of each month which means that members must update their banking details prior to this date.

We have emailed you feedback as we could not reach you telephonically and may contact us directly with any further concerns.

Regards

Jashvir
