******* Waiting periods that goes against the law!

Discovery Medical Aid is *******ly adding condition specific waiting periods that are not applicable and I wonder how many people have fallen for this. Discovery, you can only legally impose a waiting period on a condition diagnosed or treated in the 12 months preceding a application. This is according to the Medical Schemes Council! Extremely shocking that your Underwriting team does not know this and still has the nerve to tell me IN WRITING you can add a condition waiting period for any time. You are completely incorrect and wrong according to the law and I will be taking this further. Preying on people who might be uninformed or elderly like my parents who would not have known better!
