Ill-informed
I am disgusted by the services from Discovery Health and their lack of communication. At the end of 2015 only half of my Psychiatry bill to Dr Jeeva with a reason that he is not in the Network. Now it has come to light that discovery will not pay anything, when after 15 sessions were allowed per year.

Discovery also stopped paying or supplying certain Chronic Medication and does not feel that ADHD patients qualify as sufficient psychiatric condition. Therefore I am effectively not paying about R3000 per month on Medical Aid, But rather R7000 plus because Discovery refuse to pay for anything they paid for before.

I am seriously considering finding a new Medical Aid where I will get my monies worth and where my son's ADHD can be covered effectively and with some \respect\"."
Thank you for your comment.
Your Healthcare Provider opted out of being our designated service provider from 01/12/2015, and as a result there was a shortfall on the account. In order to have full cover, please ensure you have chosen a provider who is part of our designated service providers. You can find a list of providers on our website at www.discovery.co.za.
It is important to note that ADHD does not fall within the list of Chronic Illness Benefit conditions and Prescribed Minimum Benefits, which are enforced by government legislation. As a result, treatment will be funded from your day to day benefits subject to your chosen plan type. I have sent you an email providing you with more information.
