IGNORING EMAIL REQUEST AND RETURNING CALL AS PROMISED

On 11 April 2017 we sent an email to Discovery concerning the payment of medication which is usually given as a chronic medication, but was prescribed for an injury. We received an email with reference number: ********** 12 confirming that Discovery had received it and would attend to it.

We called Discovery on 25 April 2017 after having had no response from them.

We spoke to Sharon (ref ********** 4839) and Elton (ref ********** 839). We were told that they would get back to us the same day. We are still waiting.

There are 2 issues to be dealt with here:

1. Discovery staff not responding to emails and not doing what they committed to do i.e. contact us the same day, and

2. We still need an answer to our question: 'When usually chronic medication is prescribed for an unrelated, acute condition, should it not be paid from the ATB and if not, why not?'
