Ignorance or is our knowledge underestimated??

Submitting claims with modifier 0009 is a total nightmare!! At first the full amount is paid and then, months later, they reverse the claim and pay less. No matter how many calls, emails, threats they just refuse payment (and we are not allowed to ask their precious members to pay the balance). They DON'T understand the rule to modifier 0009!!!

TARIFF PAYABLE IS 20% OF SPECIALIST SURGEON FEE!! Modifier 0009 rule is as follows as confirmed with SAMA: “The assistant fee under modifier 0009, is calculated at 20% of a specialist surgeon’s fee, regardless whether the surgeon was a general practitioner or a specialist”.

Is that really to difficult to understand?
