IF YOUR BABY PASSES, NO POSTNATAL CARE/BENEFITS

Good day,

I registered for Maternity Benefits on the 6th of May 2021. My baby was born on the 4th of May 2021. However, she passed away at 2 weeks old. Thereafter, I cancelled my maternity benefits.

I have sent through the updated claim for a postnatal check-up, but Discovery is refusing to pay ICD Code 39.2 (Encounter for routine postpartum follow-up).

Please advise?

Does Discovery not offer postnatal care to mother's whose babies pass away?
