I would rather reinstate my old medical aid
I am having to get authorisation for my procedure,Discovery has sent a form to the doctor that I usually visit when I have flu etc, which is a practice in Randburg, how this practice works is,if you go to the doctors rooms in the morning, there is one doctor that sees to the morning patients, if you go in the afternoon then a different doctor sees to the afternoon patients, the doctors there have shifts, I have been to the morning Dr on various occasions and she has treated me for severe sinus allergies, and has given me tablets and nose sprays etc, this doctor who has seen me is since on maternity leave,& now there is a whole new doctor filling in for her, who does not even know me, & who refuses to fill out this form.I don't understand why they need to know about my sinus history,as sinus is not something that is an illness that is diagnosed such as cancer or diabetes, it is merely allergies, and some people such as me, have it very severely, which is why I went to see an ENT specialist who advised that I should have a sinus drainage procedure done which is a simple 2 hour procedure, it is not even a big procedure,if I had known this I would have just stayed on my old medical aid
