I thought they were ethical

My issue is: "Imagine if you would for a moment that a service provider (in this case Discovery Health) is made aware that they have accepted more money than they had to for your monthly medical aid contributions, to their credit they fixed that issue. However as a person that has paid more than what you were supposed to pay, naturally you will then request to be refunded the extra funds that were unduly paid over to the scheme, and thus request to be reimbursed. Then the service provider (Discovery Health) says 'sorry for your loss but we are going to keep all the extra money we that was received as your monthly contribution for the your medical aid'.

So I should just suck it up, whilst someone has a portion of my money that they unduly received.

Imagine a big company such as Discovery Health, either not having the systems in place to back-date the changes (as requested) or concocting some rules preventing them to do so.

Imagine someone taking your money and after making them aware they simply say to you "sorry boet, you lose and I benefit". thought Discovery Health is an ethical company.

That is my story after Discovery has been made aware that I have paying more than what I was supposed to for my medical aid. I don't think it is right what they are doing, in refusing to refund me. I don't have money, and somebody that has money is having my money and refusing to give it back to me. I don't think it is right.

But anyway, just check your monthly contribution for your medical aid, maybe this issue might actually be widespread.
