Hospital Doctors & Pediatrician requested Admission Discovery Health and Case Worker Denied admission

Frustrated as I am,

This is my damn story,

15-08-2018,

Today my wife took took my three kids to Garden City Hospital, Note they have been sick for 2 weeks and have not been at school. I have seeked medical advice from our GP's for both the two weeks the kids have been off school. Medication have been provided but the kids just not getting better. Medication ranging from

Arthrexin Gencetamol Napamol Xyzal Sintair Clear Cough Amoxylyn Antibiotics These were provided, kids no change hence hospital today today. Wifey was caring for the kids. The Casualty Doctor very good man seen the kids sent them for bloods and mouth swab.

Blood came back and as per doctor viral infection on blood test. Wifey opt for an opinion from the kids Pediatricians Dr A Moosa brilliant Specialist, he check them and confirmed its best for the kids to overnight for observation and so did the Casualty Dr Dr Piccolo( Both confirmed what was best for the kids.

All three kids have no been eating well, vomiting constantly tired and sleepy bdy pains in joints.

Its kinda horrific of you see your kids in pain and you cannot help them, and that the reason why i pay Discover damn medical aid for circumstances like this.

Well know here walked in the ****en case Manager Mtswaki Gweru for the infamous Discovery Medical Aid .. She is the Case Manager on site at Garden City Hospital.

She turned around and advised my Wifey the following, These where the words coming from Mtswaki Gweru Case Manager,

She said the doctor has advised that he wants to admit but we won't pay,( This is her and Discovery like she own the ***en Discovery.) Because its not an infection for admission but we can feel free with the admission but we would have to pay out of our own pocket. Kids diagnoses some Influenza B (Swine Flu) thing.

Honestly the above discussing was not even done privately she just said these things in the waiting rooms in-front of everybody, show what decent people Discovery Medical Aid Employ and that is case Management for you.

(don't know what she be managing but she aint no ***in doctor)

Know who the **** made her GOD over my kids well being, Anyway I rocked up at the hospital and came from work. Did not wanna speak to this woman spoke to the Doctor Dr Piccollo and asked him what the deal was with admission for the three kids. He mentioned that himself and Dr A Moosa agreed for admission but Little Miss Case Manager Denied this. So I called Discover at authorization and spoke to a lady explained everything that happened and she then spoke t teh casualty GP on my cell and because the reception was not good he gave her his number and the spoke on the hospitals number. me standing there he confirm that admission would be best. She explained to him that she would need to call back to confirm admission.

She call back spoke to the GP who handed the phone to me and she advised that she cannot override case Manager Mtswaki Gweru decision.

Now I wanna know who does she report too, what can I do to take this on a more higher level and what can be done to resolve my matter. I am paying nearly R5000 to discover for the well being of my kids and is this is the attitude that I will be getting for 1 sole entity with that much power what more can go wrong.

All I received for treated was a prescription for Tamiflu X2 that cost over R1000 and plus casualty fees of over R1000, but its not about the damn money its about the principle and our health care on how you treat people.

Anyone above on the email, please share some advise on how and what I can do.

My damn kids are still complaining headaches body is sore my daughters are weak and sleeping I have been back at home know for an hour since hospital they not eating. I have sick weak kids damnit
