Hospital Cover.... not Really.
Hi,<br> I had my follow-up visit with my specialists Surgeon on the 20th May 2015. My surgeon suggested that a Gastroscopy procedure will be needed to identify the issue.<br> I contacted Discovery Health for authorisation which was approved, as Fourways Life Hospital and the Doctor is part of an approved list in Discovery Health. <br> I was informed that the procedure is not covered 100% regardless this is an IN HOSPITAL PROCEDURE. <br> I followed up

As discussed there are certain co-payments that are applicable for diagnostic scopes done in hospital as per your chosen plan type. I have since sent you a list of doctors that will be able to do the procedure in their rooms where the co-payment will not apply. This list is subject to change without prior notification and the claims will fund according to the Scheme rate.
