Hospital Authorization

<p>I have been trying to get authorization for my procedure for Nasal Valve repair which is booked for the 28/07/2017.</p> <p> </p> <p>Discovery is of the opinion that this procedure is cosmetic even though the surgeon Dr C Macintosh has sent all the relevant information indicating that it is to enable me to breath.</p> <p>SA Bone is a approved supplier yet Discovery refuses to approve the procedure. The surgeon has had many phone calls doctor to docxtor but yet we cannot get any feedback.</p> <p>Am I now expected to not be able to breath for the rest of my life because staff at discovery over rides the doctors codes and insists that this procedure is Cosmetic.</p> <p>We are lead to believe that the consultants are trained in there field but after this experiance I cannot agree.</p> <p> </p>
