Hip replacement vs iwatch

I have been very active all my life and have run 16 comrades ultra marathons! Last year in running comrades i discovered a severe pain in in my hip in running the race. I finished the race but did not make cut off.
On visiting the Dr it was discovered that my hip had no cartlidge left and that I would have to have a hip replacement! I was devestated and told the Dr that it is now the end of my running as I know of 2 people in our club that had replacements and they are now walkers and hardly walk 10km. The Dr mentioned a Burmingham resurfacing that is normally given to younger people and that it would allow running. He mentioned that medical aid should cover it.
I had the operation and 7 months later I have run a full marathon I have been given a second lease of life!
Now comes the crunch!!!! Discovery does not want to pay the full amount and I am left with an account of R6000!
But Discovery is prapaired to buy thousands of Discovery members a iwatch for free if the comply to certain rules that is very easely obtainable......but for me they are not prepaired to assist in keeping me fit and running and would rather see me hang up my running shoes with perhaps a iwatch on my wrist
