High premiums = No benefits

It would appear that I am paying close to 8K a month for no real benefits for my family which is seriously concerning and raises the question that, what are we truly covered for specially in medical emergencies which is the whole point of having medical aid to begin with.

I took my baby to the emergency room for a fever over a month ago and got hit with an invoice yesterday from the hospital indicating that Discovery will not pay for the treatment he received to stabilise his condition due to lack of MSA. So as it stands, should I or my kids need medical assistance or have an emergency, we must fund it ourselves and yet still be expected to pay exorbitant premiums monthly for nothing? What a horrible ordeal we’re left with.
