Health Plans Cater for nothing

My son needs to have quite a bit orthodontic work done, and this is not due to negligence but due to the nature of his teeth. I get advised that I need to pay the full amount from my savings accounts which is over R11 000 for the total procedure, these exhausts my savings for the whole family, leaving no medical benefits for the rest of the family. This is the worst structured plan and is just a money making racket as the entire loses any medical coverage due to a poorly structured plan.<br> This is not the first time and I have had to pay over R25 000 out of my personal savings to cover previous medical treatment which was apparently covered and I had authorizations codes for the procedures to find out i must then pay the amount in full because of an error on discovery health. Only reason i am with discovery is because I am forced by the company i work for with no option to choose another provider. This is a terrible lock in to a poor product and poor service from a company in my opinion is just *****ing huge amounts of money from individuals because they are locked in due to poorly negotiated contracts between companies
