Having to register pregnancy before getting benefits???

During December we found out that we are having a baby. We had to wait for doctors offices to open before going for a scan to confirm the pregnancy. After going for the 8 week scan and confirming the pregnancy, my wife contacted our consultant to find out more about the benefits our Classic saver plan offers during pregnancy. She was then told to register the pregnancy via the website or app, which she did. A few days later I got a notification that our visit to the gynaecologist was deducted from our saving account, even though 8 visits and 2 scans should be included as per our plan. We contacted Discovery only to be told that claims will only be paid after registering the pregnancy. Surely this doesn't make sense? Why should I register for benefits that are included in my plan, which we actually did after confirming the pregnancy? This is once again poor policy from Discovery.
