Getting punished due to no mistake of my own (Unprofessional agent and major policy issues)

This has to be the most ridiculous experience of my entire life.

I have been with Discovery since 2018 as a dependent on my parent's plan. End of May 2021, I requested to be put onto my own plan and have my fiance (who I have been with since 2018) added as a dependent. The agent made a huge error in the signup process as she put me on a plan I didn't request to be added to. A plan that was much more expensive. After disputing this, Discovery fixed the issue and put me onto the plan I originally requested. During the original signup process, the agent was extremely rushed, and was talking extremely fast. She failed to ask me for details such as the email address of the dependent, etc.

The big problem starts with the medical history questions. She told me that I will be given a series of yes or no questions and that they have to be truthful otherwise the plan would get cancelled. She then proceeded to ask me the questions for both me and my partner, who was not present. She did not once ask me to speak to my partner whatsoever and was running through the questions at very high speed. This stressed me out and I proceeded to just answer the questions to the best of my knowledge. I found this very odd because I knew that both my parents had to answer their own individual questions when they signed up. I did however trust Discovery, and the agent assisting me as I know they are thoroughly trained in the process, and that the agent would not do something to jeopardize my life or future with the medical scheme. Today I was looking back at the original application sent to me, I can actually see a few errors that were made with the questions, most likely due to how unprofessional and rushed the agent was.

Anyway, everything was sorted and life went on.

This month, my partner had to get admitted for emergency treatment, and it was within the 3 month waiting period, But discovery was not very keen to assist. Miraculously, she ended up being okay without getting the treatment she needed, as the whole process was being sandbagged by Discovery.

Today however, I got a call from an investigator that said that my membership will be cancelled due to not disclosing a pre-existing condition. After trying to find out what was happening, we realized with shock that the doctor that referred her for the initial treatment, wrote in his medical report that he diagnosed her with a condition in 2017 that she does NOT have. She was never informed about this diagnosis whatsoever by her Doctor either, thus she never told me about it, because you can't self diagnose a disorder/disease like this and there have been multiple OTHER doctors that told her she does NOT have the very condition he allegedly diagnosed her with she was completely under the impression she is not diagnosed with this illness. Since she did not know she did not tell me, I answered NO to the relevant question originally asked by the agent.

The doctor also gave a timeline in his report that was completely false, citing events from a time when she did not have any consultations with the doctor. (Before the beginning of this month, she did not see the doctor since he treated her for an unrelated problem in 2017 except for one quick consultation in 2018.) Although, he cited alleged events from 2019 and 2020 which she has no knowledge of. I also know with 100% cer*****y that she has not gone to see this doctor since 2018 as we have been living together and sharing finances since that same year and she cannot drive on her own.

I understand that discovery has to listen to the report they are given and doctors are trusted without being questioned, and that's why we are going to be going to multiple specialists to prove that this is a misdiagnosis and discredit this doctor. What I want to understand is WHY THE HELL is MY membership cancelled too. At the very least, my partner should have been asked to answer the questions. Not me. But even in that case she would have probably answered no, as that is what her own knowledge of her own medical history was up until 14:00 today. She is currently studying to become a doctor herself. There is NO reason she would omit a condition or commit medical *****. Doing so would jeopardize her entire future. It would ruin her future career, or prevent her from having insurance for the next 10 years. It could even get her arrested. On top of that, she is NOT a ****. I have never had a reason to doubt her so when she says she was never diagnosed, I believe her wholeheartedly. This is not a joke and I feel like Discovery is trying to take advantage and discriminate against us for being some dumb 23-year-olds. We are not dumb though. We know our rights and we know what has happened here is completely wrong. We will follow every single avenue until justice has been served.

I as the main member do not deserve to be blacklisted and have my insurance cancelled. I did not do anything wrong. I cannot answer yes to a question that I wholeheartedly believe is No. I should not have had to answer that question in the first place.

My Fiancé does not deserve what is happening to her. She has done nothing wrong. She has been allegedly diagnosed with something, but never treated, given a plan, or even consulted about this diagnoses. She has never had a conversation about this alleged diagnosis. There is absolutely no way that she could have known about this and should not get her medical aid cancelled because of this but I understand with that part a process has to be followed to prove her innocence. With my part however, I expect to get this rectified as I did not do anything wrong, especially if it can be proved that there were major issues with the initial signup.

I need to get this situation fixed as I cannot have my entire life uprooted due to no mistake of my own.
