GAP Cover false adverti*****t!

I took out Discovery's GAP Cover in beginning of June 2017, effective July 2017. I was told that ALL in hospital procedures that was not fully covered by my medical health plan would be covered.

Firstly it took Discovery Health weeks to send me my certificate, for some reason they were struggling. So, I was paying for a product without Discovery being able to present the certificate including all the information...................

I visited the ENT on 12 September with my 2 year old son and had to schedule a tonsillectomy the following day. My son had severe sleep apnea because of enlarged and rotten tonsils. The Dr. said that they needed to come out ASAP.

We now have to pay an amount of over R 5000, if not settled before 13 October 2017. I contacted my financial adviser whom informed me that it would not be paid as the procedure was not seen as an emergency AND that there is a waiting period of 12 months in anyway... 12 MONTHS!! If I save R510 (premium) for 12 months, that gives me R6120. I would of been able to pay for the complete surgery in cash!!!!!!!

To add to this, my husband has to have a operation done at some point, ENT and plastic surgeon as he has difficulty breathing and sleeping. There is a 12 month waiting period for that as well!

This product is false and filled with so many ways of de*****ing the client. I have wasted my money and demand the following: 1. The premiums for July, August and now September 2017 to be paid back in full. 2. The product to be cancelled immediately!
