Frustrated at lack of service

My son was in a car accident on the 27th of April 2018. All of the costs relating to this accident for treatment and care should fall under PMB. I have to continuously argue and spend hours on the phone to get these bills sorted. We did not choose any of the Drs as it was an emergency. The anaesthetist bill, the xrays, the surgeon, please explain why these are not all marked with PMB from the beginning and treated as such?? Is there not a case manager dealing with a file from beginning to end? If the case manager cannot deal with it why is it not referred to the High Level Query person? Why must I jump through hoops, spend hours on the phone to get things resolved. Most of adult life, and my kids from birth, have been on Discovery. We have had minimal claims. Now the one time we do, there is issue after issue. This was not elective....it was an accident, that was not even my sons fault. Why is everything not covered???

Thank you for your email but you addressed ONE XRAY bill. As in my complaint I have numerous other things not addressed from this accident. To top it off, the mobility assist benefit that I called about in May before I got the wheelchair, that claim was rejected. It is just one thing after another. As I said in my post, surely EVERYTHING relating to this accident should be covered. I can understand if it is something elective but this was an accident. Why must it be such a struggle?

Mobility annual benefit is for what if you cannot have access to it? The accident left my son having to use a wheelchair for May and June. I called Discovery BEFORE getting the wheelchair. The three places they gave me, I was told when I eventually got the correct numbers from google, is that they SELL wheelchairs. We required a rental. Then the lady from the one place referred me to the Cape Medical rental for the wheelchair with the leg extension. Now there is an issue with it. PLEASE GO LISTEN to the phone call on your system. SO Discovery, is the benefit there for advertising purposes and not be of any use??

I have forwarded these claims and still no feedback? Reference number is ********** 857. Will this ever be resolved? Or must I just give up now? And then again, same issue with the 3 month follow up Xray on Monday 30th July. Specialist did not charge us for the follow-up as this is to see if the patella is settled after the accident and op but the Xray had to be done, so of course we go to our GP to get the XRAY referral form as this is still part of the accident, now this claim is rejected because no Specialist authorisation was requested??? Please explain this to me?

Please, I beg of you, can we have all these things sorted. This is beyond exhausting dealing with Discovery on these claims. I did not realise that everything is such a hassle. We have never really had to claim for anything for all the years..... makes you wonder if all the customers are dealing with this if they have to use Discovery?
