Frustrated
My daughter age 19 was suffering from headaches, blurred vision nausea tiredness. Long story short we consulted our family doctor who to rule out anything serious referred us to a neurologist. She tried for 2 day to get an appointment with one and could not. So tried and called numerous specialist from discovery's list and failed. My daughter's symptoms was getting worse by now and she was basically living on medication. I took it upon myself to find a neurologist. After many attempts because of financial implications and very long long delayed appointments I managed to find one. He checked my daughter and suggested she go for a scan. Which she had. The neurologist charged R2200 which I was told and under the impression i can claim back. I sent the 27/08/2020. Mind you to my disgust I was was paid back R200 with no explanation. I had to query and was told a very long story that did not make sense. I was also told to fill so a dispute form which I did. I was contacted and was informed that I will receive the money after about 4days. The agent blatantly **** to me. Listen to that recording. This was mid September. I now received an email informing me that I will not be receiving the remaining money because after the process I am not entitled to it. They gave me a long story which I really do not understand. . Now they want me to fill on another dispute document to dispute my already dispute. I will have to appear in front of a panel of legal and medical professionals. So we have been on this plan for about 18 years. I can count the times me and my family has seeked medical attention. It's R1600 that is owing. I have enough in my savings. The government must get involved because this is theft and this one of the reasons why we do not have specialists in this country. I am so disappointed in discovery. Awaiting feedback.
