<p>Im a divorce parent and responsible for my childrens medical aid. More or less on the 18 of May 2016 my little one was pre adm to the hospital for a operation for her ear. I receive a sms on my phone for pre adm at Gariep Mediclinic Kimberley. I emmediate phone the medical aid and ask questions for what was the auth num. They told me that I have taken my little to Kimberley to the specialist for her ear and that i book her for the operation and the hospital booking. I then told them that i did not take her to the specialist and did not make any booking at the hospital. After a long discustion with discovery and the docters it came to my attention that my ex wife sign on behalf of me for all the administration at the specialist and the booking of my little one. She is no longer as from the day we got divorce on my medical aid and have no right to sign any of my medical forms for pre auth at any medical institute. I have spoken to discovery about this and they also have confirm that only me have the right to sign any hosiptal admition and specialists or any other medical institute. When I started to ask question regarding the sign documents that have been done on my behalf the medical aid discovery just keep quite and tell me they will come back to me. After plus minus a month or two I canceled the medic aid and they send me a bill of R3500 that i need to pay to discovery for the outstanding amount due to medical cost not been cover. And reported be to the credit burue Is this fear to me as the client. I Any body can sign onbehald of any body medical aid to submit aperson to the hospital even when it shows only the the head member have the only right to sign the submit paper work</p>
