Fast replacement of medical equipment

So often Good service is not rewarded, we accept it and move on. I'd like to highlight my experience with discovery Health - especiall y Lunga Mucu. You were great. We just recently moved our insurance over to Discovery health - only 5 months ago. I have an 11 year old daughter who is type 1 diabetic (insulin dependent) she has been fitted with the insulin pump which is attached to her all the time. Her glucometer (sugar reading meter) is linked to the pump via blue tooth, has all her calculations in on how much insulin she needs and when. When she tests her blood, the glucometer calculates the insulin needed and sends the message to the pump to inject extra insulin. All runs great, until your daughter has a mis-hap and drowns her glucometer by accident. It was a friday afternoon, i hit a bit of a panic as everything would be closed over the weekend. My discovery financial adviser walked me through the whole process - you're great as well Lara Guignet, i put a claim through immediately through the app. And within a few minutes i had been assigned Lunga Mucu. I was immediately contacted by Lunga who talked me through everything that i needed to get done. As they were well aware of the importance of getting our little girl up and running as soon as possible. There are many people behind the scenes that made this past weekend a success and not a horror story. Lunga even called first thing Monday morning to make sure that all went well over the weekend and my daughter was still fine. He kept in contact all the time until such time as i was able to submit the damage report, within 4 hours after submitting the damage report for the glucometer i had the the "Agreement of Loss" form to sign and send back. And payment authorised to replace the equipment. I'd really like to thank Discovery health for putting in the extra mile to ensure that my girls equipment could be replaced as soon as possible.
