False advertising of maternity benefits, loopholes not to pay it out.

I just found out the new "maternity benefits" from discovery are not paid out if the pregnancy is not registered. So I have to pay the first scan (8 weeks) from my MSA.

Firstly, a high percentage of pregnancies ends in miscarriage before 12 weeks, so why would one register a pregnancy if you have not even heard a heart beat? Why is a claim from a registered gynecologist not enough evidence of a potential pregnancy? Also, why are you forcing me to give my pregnancy information (through the registration process), else you refuse to give me the benefit?? That does not seem right?

The call center lady was rude and told me to remember to cancel my membership contract with you if I move medical aids.

So not receiving any benefit, and treated badly. Disappointed in this medical aid, and now I will surely strongly consider to move to another one. Should've done it already, the maternity benefit was the only thing that convinced me to give it another try,
