Failure to pay Hospital admission and service providers

I was hospitalized in August 2021 with covid. The Case Manager advised that Discovery is backlogged and assured me that they will ensure to get an updated authorization from Discovery.

Discovery gave 100% authorization but have now failed to pay the full hospital account and all the service providers.

Attempts to contact Discovery have been for naught as their number is unavailable or busy and one is unable to get through to an agent for assistance.

Discovery Health is not "cheap" fund to be with. I am there because they have been my medical aid for more than 10years and are considered the leaders in medical health care.

I am appalled at their services and cavalier rejection of not honoring the authorization given.

This has left me with astronomical accounts that I do not have the funds for due to them having a high call volume and are backlogged.

My finances are in an appalling state as I have had to pay for medicines out of pocket and am facing unpaid leave due to the damaging effects of having contracted covid twice!

Discovery have not eased my health or state of mind with the increased worries they have thrown me into which is impeding my recovery
