Extremely annoyed

<p>What transpired on the day in question?</p> <p>On the 26 June 2017.</p> <p>My ex-wife contacted me advising me that my daughter was ill, I arrived to find that my daughter eyes were teary and that she had a terrible cough, she also complained of chest pains and not being able to breathe properly. I took her to the prescribed doctor however due to it being Eid the doctor was not available, I then proceeded to the next doctor that unfortunately is also Muslim so he was also not available either. Due to the condition my daughter was in I took the initiative to take her to the medical centre as this was the closest and convenient medical practitioner, so in essence there was no time to make phone calls to Discovery.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was advised to contact Discovery to claim directly for the amount or a portion of the amount paid.</p> <p>I called Discovery with the hope that they would understand my dilemma and perhaps assist with the cash I had to fork out.</p> <p>I paid just over a R 1000.00 for medical attention that there preferred Doctors could not assist with as they were not available.</p> <p>I was assisted with less than 40% of what I initially laid out.</p> <p> </p> <p>I pay Discovery over R20 000.00 per annum for a medical aid that I don’t use.</p> <p>I have been a client for over 7 years.</p> <p>The one occasion that I do need there assistance they let me down.</p> <p>I am extremely disappointed in the service that I have received.</p> <p> </p>
