Extended benefit ? What benefit?

I had a very severe horse riding accident in April this year . I was in ICU for 6 days with multiple spinal fractures. I started physio 5 weeks later and have continued twice a week since then . I reached my self payment gap , of R7000 ( approx) which I paid most of towards more physio . 4 weeks ago Discovery said i was reaching my limit for physio for the year , but that i could apply for extended treatment benefit if required . I submitted the required forms many times , with motivation from my physio and explaing that due to another condition that i have , of which Discovery are aware, it is not adviseable to take excessive pain ****ers and anti inflammatories . I therefore need this treatment both for rehab and pain relief. After eventually satisfying Discovery with the correct forms etc and being told i would have an answer within a week of my submission , i have heard nothing . I have had to stop physio now and have not had physio for over a month and am now struggling to move around comfortably. I wonder if they are hoping to delay till year end when i get a new allocation . Not ok Discovery Health !!
