Endurance and High Performance Opt-out Glitch

Recently I opted out of the "Endurance and High Performance Category" for vitality active rewards. My maximum goal should therefore be 900 points per week, but it has remained at 1200. I have phoned several times in the last few weeks, with the matter being resolved each time, although its seems only a temporary fix.

Today I phoned and was advised that I am opted out and that the points (which will apparently still show 1200 going forward) will be reset to 900 after the week has been completed. I was told that I must rely on this to happen as it is a manual entry.

Can this not be rectified automatically so that I do not have to check after-the-fact?
