Emergency treatment declined?

I was diagnosed with a life threatening condition last week. In the words of my neurosurgen I'm "sitting on a fatal time bomb". He immediately booked me in for emergency treatment, which is scheduled for tomorrow morning. This procedure is highly specialised, and there are limited hospitals equipped to do it.

After sending all the necessary documentation through last week, I got told by Discovery that the recommended hospital has been declined, and I need to have the procedure carried out in a hospital that doesn't have adequate equipment to carry out what I need done.

The staff members from my recommended hospital have been on the phone all day trying to explain this, and the gravity of my situation to Discovery, but it seems that they have taken a firm stance, disregarding an experts opinion in refusing the prescribed treatment.

I have been making contributions to this company for the last 20 years, and on the occassion that I require emergency treatment, they've turned their back without concern.

It seems this medical aid is all business, and no heart. Super clinical in its approach. I'm shocked, but have no alternative but to continue fighting in the hopes that someone listens.
