Economical with the Truth

My 17 year old daughter had a stroke following a brain operation for epilepsy and thus has a drop foot. She currently has to manage with steel braces and boots to be able to walk. Technology is available which gives an electrical pulse to the muscle which enables her to walk virtually perfectly. It costs around R16 000.00. Full motivation, details of the equipment and the quote were forwarded to Discovery. Their response was that this product is listed as being excluded from funding. <br> <br> I asked that they provide me with a copy of the list and this is where the fun started. I am now honestly of the opinion that no such list exists as they refuse to provide it or answer specific questions which are asked. Phone and speak to someone and they assure you that they will investigate and phone back. Naturally this never happens.<br> <br> Why is it that Discovery refuses to allow anyone to discuss anything with them? They hide behind their call centre.<br> <br> Please could someone from Discovery who is competent and knowledgeable on the product and the scheme phone and answer my legitimate queries.
