Drug denied by DH.

Discovery Health (DH) are a lot better organised than Medical Aids I've used in the past. However, i now need the correct drug to treat macula degeneration that I suffer from. The substitute drug (Avastin) they do pay for is proving ineffective in my case. I learn that DH are defying a court order to provide the correct more expensive drug but certain other Medical Aids do provide it where necessary. It seems that DH put profits before the urgent needs of their members! My eyesight is a priority to me even if it's not to DH. My mother suffered from the same condition and i know her twilight years were seriously compromised as a result, though the drug not being available at the time.
