Does Discovery have a department that is paid to find ways to avoid paying claims and provide the worse customer experience?

If not, then it is doing a great job. The customer experience is terrible.

For example, I went to the doctor last week to find out I have an ear infection, Discovery paid for the consultation. Then I went and bought the medicine, oh no we can't refund you for that , excuse , excuse, excuse. Why does Discovery have more red tape that the traffic department. They hire a whole department to ring you up and apologise and give excuses, but imagine how good it would be for the customer if every interaction was not a fight and stressful. Maybe they are trying to **** us all off with heart attacks and therefore save more money?

The same happened with the active rewards - they started three years ago, but oh I am eligible, but not eligable as I don't have a Samsung or an IPhone, so I said ok, give me a voucher or something, last year I got a message, you haven't signed up for active rewards, the same story, oh manual processes are not possible and we can't afford to write for a microsoft phone. Year 3 I asked them why are they advertising Active Rewards without an upfront disclaimer saying you have to have a certain type of phone.

I remember when Discovery was a solutions company, not an excuses company.
