DO NOT JOIN DISCOVERY! THEY ARE ****S!

Discovery has single handedly made my pregnancy the worst experience ever! From the very beginning of my onboarding experience I have had nothing but difficulty with them

First the agent blatantly **** about my debit order being set for the 25th of every month only for them to debit my account on the 1st of every month

I have then had to do 3 follow up for my physical card to be delivered and each time they seem to have a new excuse and with each complaint logged I am told to wait 8-12 weeks for my card

I am now battling to get a claim paid to my gynecologist, I have been battling with the same issue for well over 7 weeks now, their excuse for not paying is that I did not follow the referral process however I do not need a referral to see my gynecologist AS I AM PREGNANT AND REGISTERED MY MATERNITY BENEFIT ON THE APP ON THE VERY SAME DAY I GOT THE COVER FROM THEM

Countless agents has **** on a recorded line stating that my issue would be resolved within 2-3 days as they have admitted the error was on their end

For anyone out there who is looking for medical aid and is falling for the "Discovery is the best" line PLEASE DO NOT JOIN THEM! THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE PAIN TO DEAL WITH

I was with essential med medical insurance for 6years and had absolutely no issues with them and my only reason for canceling my cover with them was because my current employer requires you to have medical aid and not medical insurance, other than that they are far better than these horrible money making cons!
