DO NOT JOIN DISCOVERY HEALTH

SAVE YOURSELF THE DRAMA AND ENDLESS CALLS I was with Discovery Health on Classic Core plan and my baby had to undergo a few surgeries. She went for a surgery in June and the membership lapsed for x2 months but I paid all the outstanding membership contributions. Cause the membership lapsed Discovery decided to reverse all the payments for the claims and inturn show that I owe them but I reinstated the membership which meant that all that claims needed to be reprocessed and show that I do not owe anything to the medical aid however NO SYSTEM OR NO PERSON DID THAT. So when my child went for surgery in October they paid the hospital and surgeon BUT the Anesthesiologist payments come into my bank account Which DID NOT cause they took that money and subtracted it to the amount owing the scheme which in the beginning supposed to be reprocessed and solved which DID NOT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!

My baby went for a procedure on 2025/10/02 the claim was for R13 300 but Discovery only pays R9501.90 Another procedure was 2025/10/09 the claim was for R3925 and Discovery only pays R2799.30

So the total amount is R9501.30 + R2799.30 which is R12301.20!!!

BUT DISCOVERY ONLY PAID R7987.30 WHICH MEANS THAT R4313.90 IS STILL OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been calling Discovery for the past 2 months the agents dont understand anything they keep say they will escalate and you wait a whole week for them to come and tell you some nonsense of clawback cause its owed to the scheme when in the actual fact and in the beginning of the entire conversation I DO NOT OWE ANYTHING TO DISCOVERY - CLAIMS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE REPROCESSED AND DONE PROPERLY NOW THE DOCTOR IS PAID SHORT AND I NEED TO PAY OUT OF MY POCKET R4313.90 WHEN I HAVE MEDICAL AID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PATHETIC SERVICE
