Do NOT Join Discovery Health

Joined Discovery from GEMS on 1 February 2024. My GP had already sent my dependent's chronic application through to Discovery on 30 January 2024. They approved it but every single month, they're deducting from medical savings for one of her chronic medication. I have been contacting them every 2nd or 3rd week and no one seems willing to assist. They will tell me stories such as "your reference number doesn't have a remark" or "send us the prescription again". Moreover, I requested physical membership cards 10 weeks ago - still nothing. So gutted. The final blow was when they asked me to go to the specialist for a 6 month script that is still valid. My last call with them today, the lady just cut me off while I was still speaking. What a horrible medical aid scheme. I can't wait to go back to GEMS.
