Dissapointed

Firstly i questioned the price that i as a chronic patient was paying for my medical aid, a consultant called me and explained my situation and the reason for costs, so i appreciated the call. Yet im well aware of collusion and price fixing as i work in the media and many companies have been lifted out of the wood works by the SA Competition Commission for such dealings. Now im a bit furious, every year my medical fees increase and now instead of paying close to R4000 i now pay over R5000 and this is for me as an individual, no dependents on my medical aid ***. So in the next year i will be paying close to R6000 and the year after that close to R7000 and so on and so forth, in the near future i would just be working for ****ing medical aid no food, no bond, no home. Tell me why are consultants not able to give chronic patients other options, such as a hospital plan that covers chronic meds? or why cant chronic patients fees be capped at a certain rate instead of increasing yearly. You medical aid scoundrels are making a ****ing off your clientele yet you still feel the need to hike up fees because you are well aware that people are dependent on their medication in order to survive. If there is anyone out there be it a lawyer, or legal adviser please assist me so that we can help others stuck in the same predicament. Not to long ago a friend told me that Discovery did not approve her fathers cancer meds and the man passed away. So why the **** do we need to pay high prices yet we still suffering, something needs to be done asap about this situation at hand because i feel to many people are being done in but are to afraid to speak out.
