Disgusting ********* treatment _ Discovery Health

I have been a loyal member from 2014, due to the extensive damage of Covid I had to move over from the company scheme to individual capacity as I was retrenched from my place of work. I spoke to Discovery numerous times to start my Private cover from 01/07/2020 and my first payment via debit order will be on 01/08/2020 amounting to R2300. To my shock and horror Discovery took R4450 from my account! Without any notice or any prior communication. IN these tough financial times, this is the most ********* treatment from a medical aid! Disgusting to take money from someone without even an email to say we actually have to take fees for two months...not just one.

After speaking to your consultant, It was blamed on my previous employer for not paying for the month of June, and I was responsible for it. After I have spoken, planned and even got a VALID paper trail that my cover stats on 01/07 and My amount I will pay will be R2300.

I will gladly be looking for another medical aid. One that does not take money without prior confirmation, in my opinion that is *****ing from the poor to line your own pockets!
