Disgusting Treatment

I am absolutely shocked and disgusted !!!!

I had a stroke just over 3yrs ago..... As a result my hip and knee where damaged and I have been in a wheelchair ever since.

I app**** for my hip operation and was refused so I had it done at Groote Schuur Hospital...likewise with my knee. My hip is still not totally right as I could not do therapy for it...I couldn't walk. Since the knee operation a couple of months ago I have been really struggling . The government clinics cannot provide the right therapy as they do not have the suitable equipment...I can't use my right arm... and Discovery won't pay for therapy as they did not authorize and pay for the operation. BUT WAIT...... They did pay Groote Schuur for the operation despite having refused to when I.....a paying client....asked.

As far as I can see that is Breach of Contract.....so I will be contacting a lawyer.

I am also considering going to the media....I am sure they would love to write a story about how Discovery refused to pay for a disabled client's operation but then paid the government hospital who ended up doing it.....paid what I am sure was a much cheaper amount AND saved on paying for therapy which was desperately needed to enable the client to walk again.

As I said....DISGUSTING TREATMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
