DISGUSTING SERVICE FROM DISCOVERY HEALTH

A few months ago my daughter was diagnosed with Keratoconus and needed to undergo surgery. We app**** through Discovery Health to authorise the surgery. Not only did they decline the application, they penalised us of 'non-disclosure' and terminated my entire membership! I have 3 children as dependants on my medical aid including a 1yr old child.

I appealed the decision and requested for them to reconsider their decision as we were not aware of our daughters condition but it has been 2 months and Discover has completely ignored all the email we have sent.

The doctor who diagnosed the patient is completely appalled at the conduct of Discovery and how they have disregarded his expertise in this whole case.

I am utterly disgusted with Discovery and cannot believe that I have been known to Discovery for over 10yrs and they would treat me like this.There has been no refund of my premiums nor anything from them.

We had to pay for the surgery in cash during these tough financial times even though we have been paying premiums monthly for medical aid. Now I walk away broke, no medical aid for my children and possibly a blemish on my name with other potential Health schemes
