Disgruntled Member.

I was pleasantly surprised to have been given the run around initially to get authorisation for a specialist appointment. First I was asked for Doctor's practise number then the next day I was asked for ICD-10 Code.

I eventually did get the authorisation.

To my dismay when the doctor wanted to perform a procedure , his rooms were informed that they must prove that it is a case of malignancy before authorisation may be granted.

I find this quite disconcerting as only if the authorisation is granted then a biopsy can be done.

Am I suppose to foot the bill to prove malignancy and then get authorisation once the procedure is already completed.

Discovery Health, I think have some incapacitated people working for them.
