Disgruntled Ex-Employee

NO response, NO feedback.

I am totally disappointed in the level of service I received from Discovery Health Medical Scheme after working for three years at this company. As an ex-employee of this company, I was not treated fairly even after I handed in my resignation and served my notice period in August 2024. To date, I have not received my payout or any communication from my previous company.

Their core values state: "We are accountable to our people, our customers and broader society". Meaning they uphold honesty, fairness and integrity.

It's almost three months since I left the company and I have not received even a letter of service for the period I was with the company. After countless interactions with the company, my dispute has not been resolved. It's quite sad that their core values look good on paper yet they are not truly excercised even to an employee who was once their own.

In my opinion, Discovery Health drives and initiates their "digital platforms" so well to the public yet their own system failed me. I completed all my off-boarding documents for their records before I even left the company yet they come now to say that I never submitted anything.

Furthermore, they deducted 4k off my salary after I was poorly advised by management of when my last day will be. I let that slide and kept quiet. I must add that I received the worst service from Discovery Health (KwaZulu-Natal) branch. It's almost three months now that I am awaiting my payout and they are giving me the run around with no solutions.

So Discovery Health (Sandton, Durban-Kwazulu-Natal) is it fair to be treated so unfairly after I served my notice accordingly and followed the process to leave the company in a good manner yet you are not fair to me by giving me what rightfully belongs to me.

Discovery has failed many others in the past and I didn't think that I would be a statistic today. I highly do not recommend them.

Still waiting for my query to be resolved. It's been close to three months.

Yet again Discovery responding falsely on social media to look good.

No has contacted me and my query has just t been resolved. I will continue to write of your service because you have no regard of the other person
