Discovery's constant red tape

Here we go again. I was approved to have the Mirena from my risk benefit (which I did not know I had at the time until I put in a complaint). I provided the practice number and everything. I go to try get the Mirena and then it was declined. The doctor then phoned Discovery and they said no, the pulling the authorisation because she is not a gynae. But this was not explained at the time complained nor on the day of the approval. Now, so to go see the gynae is going to cost over R2000 when I already paid this amount to see my physician. Please tell me where that R2000 comes from? Even if it came out of savings, how can I be expected to pay again when Discovery has failed to give a reason why it has to be a gynae. So guess what. Here I sit needing something for my health, but I don't have access to it. I cannot afford basic health care but pay my medial aid every month. I am not being punished as a woman. I am going to be going to Carte Blanche this time. I assume there are other people like me out there, and perhaps, it needs to be made public what benefits we actually have from our medical aid that's not communicated. Like qualifying for a Mirena from the risk benefit when originally I called in it was stated that it must come from savings. Women don't choose to be women, yet some how we have to cough up thousands because of it. I am so angry. And please don't bother phoning me to explain any of this. I am not stupid, I don't need someone calling me to re-explain this. You are refusing my basic health care and expecting me to get money from goodness knows where when I already pay over R8000 for medical aid as it is. So lets wait for my iron to get worse and my PCOS to get worse again, because of you discovery.
