Discovery....pathetic

We recently had a baby and are on the maternity benefit which states that my partner is covered for a lactation and nutrition specialist visit, upon contacting Discovery I am told that they do not know which specialists they have a contract with. I have been sent a list of about 45 paediatricians that Discovery say "They may or may not have" a contract with and I need to phone each one to find out...... Discovery can easily calculate the amount owed when they suddenly receive a claim and check on their system if the specialist is covered but when a client wants to find out if a specialist is covered to avoid hassle and co-payments there is no information available???
