Discovery wont pay

I have been a loyal customer of Discovery for many years. I pay a lot of money every month and I never claimed anything.

Now I am pregnant and I need Discovery to pay for what they say they cover on their website, but now they are full of excuses.

I went to the doctor to do bloodtests to confirm my pregnancy, as soon as the doctor phoned me back with the positive results, I registered my pregnancy on the Discovery app.

On the app it says Discovery will pay for 8 doctor visits and 12 bloodtests.

No they don't want to pay for a thing because I registered on their site after the doctors appointment. There was no way I could register before I got the results, because I needed the pregnancy confirmed first. They also don't want to pay for the bloodtest because something about a code that is not covered. Now I have to pay for everything myself. Dont see the point in paying R1600 every month and oneday when you need them they have 1000 excuses why they wont cover the expenses. A lady phoned me from Discovery and I expained that I registered as soon as the doctor confirmed my pregnancy and that I feel that they should pay for the appointment and bloodtest as stated on their website. She said she understand and that she would put in the claim again and phone me back but I didnt hear from her again. Just an email that Discovery was not going to pay the claim.

I am so disappointed and will have to look for other medical options that will be helpful when you need them.
