Discovery - will catch you out on fine print!

Discover Health and afilitiates seem to work on the premise that they make their money by catching you out on the fine print. I was planning to investigate Discovery Insure and Bank, but after this experience I will change over to a different medical scheme at soonest convenience.

It started when we contacted our medical broker, Northbound Financial, to inform them that we want to join as Vitality members. Tania assisted us on 15 October and informed us that we will get 3 complimentary months. Great was my shock when I was debited DOUBLE at the end of October. When I queried this, I was told I was charged in full for the partial month together with the debit for November. Furthermore, because the exact correct application channel was not used by die broker, we did not get the complimentary 3 months. So just like that we were overcharged by 4 months, about R1600!

This shows me the Discovery very DNA, not a company I want to associate myself with!
