Discovery - what a rip-off

I called Discovery today to get a pre-authorization for a hysterectomy i need to have next week. I was informed there would be a R7000 payment i would need to make. I was then put through to a manager who patronized me by saying i was just upset due to shock of having to have the surgery, the chee****! I pay almost R5000 a month for a medical aid which equates to almost R60k a year and when i need surgery i get told to pay R7000. This is completely unacceptable and i need this reviewed. i checked my e-mails and did not receive any e-mails from Discovery advising of my plan for 2018 and i most certainly did not expect to need a hysterectomy at my age. I am requesting to have this reviewed as i believe R7000 is exorbitant and quite frankly ripping me off. I have tried lodging a complaint on the website but surprise surprise the link wont work to submit the complaint. I have lost all faith in discovery and cant wait to change medical aids, i only wish i knew this would happen and could have changed my plan sooner. I will be sure to let everyone i know what a rip-off Discovery medical aid is.
