Discovery Wellth Fund ****

My family and I followed Alexander Forbes' advice regarding the Wellth Fund, and all went for our checkups on 16.11.24 in order to unlock the funds.

As confirmed by our company's broker, I may claim for our out of pocket speech therapy costs for our son, and we had until end 2025 to do so (as long as unlocked in 2024).

I have screen shots taken the very day we did our screenings confirming above.

My father passed away very suddenly a few day’s after screenings and therefore I didn’t start my claiming immediately but I knew that I still had plenty time as I had met with the criteria.

I was SHOCKED last week to find the Discovery website has been updated stating that only if we joined in 2024, do we have 2025 to claim.

I am happy to take this to the Ombudsman / social media etc. as I have been a Discovery member for at least 15 years (under my husband’s name – OUTsurance account) and will not accept this – it simply isn’t ethical.
