Discovery - Waste of time and money

What is the use of having a damn expensive medical aid, if they can't even give you proper benefits. My day to day savings was depleted and I went to my Dr (as he is on the list of Dr's you can see, as part of your free visits). When I queried why Discovery did not pay, I was told I must FIRST make an appointment with a nurse at Clicks or Dischem and if they can't help me with my problem, the nurse will refer me to a Dr. What utter BS! Not only is it Covid, so I try and minimize visits to malls and shops, but now I also have to take extra time off work to first go to a nurse who won't be able to assist me, and then to my Dr. What if it is an emergency? This is a complete joke and waste of time...then why even give a "benefit" like this. Our Company will be taking our business elsewhere!
