Discovery wants one dead, just remember if all your clients die who is gonna pay their premiums

Discovery wants one dead but sorry for you I'll still be around.

Discovery must be the only medical aid that has no compassion, no humanity and always looking for a way out not to pay for life threatening medical equipment

To give everyone some background that they know I'm not over exaggerating!!!!!

in 2018 I went for a sleep study that I gladly share with every one:

POLYSOMNOGRAPHY - REPORT Thank you for the referral. This routine overnight polysomnogram was performed using the standard diagnostic protocol. Clinical background: The patient was referred for an evaluation of possible Sleep Apnea. Results: Sleep architecture: The patient slept for 7.6 hours during the recording of 14.1 hours. There was a sleep onset latency of 33 minutes. Sleep efficiency was calculated at 53 %. Sleep parameters demonstrate the following percentages in terms of time spent in the different sleep stages: Sleep stage N1: 31 %; N2: 31 % N3: 29 %; REM: 9 %. The arousal index indicates an average of 47 arousals per hour of sleep. Respiratory monitoring: Baseline oxygen saturation: 90 % Minimum oxygen saturation: 80 % Desaturation index: 46 / hour Snoring percentage: 21 % Several obstructive sleep apneas (8 /hour) and hypopneas (36 /hour) were recorded during the night, associated with arousals from sleep, with a NREM AHI of 44/ hour. The average duration of the respiratory events was 25 seconds. The maximum duration was 70 seconds. Impression: This routine overnight polysomnogram was abnormal and would indicate severe obstructive sleep apnea with an Apnea Hypopnea Index (AHI) of 44 obstructive apneas and hypopneas per hour of sleep. There was a moderately reduced sleep efficiency, elevated arousal index and increased awakenings. These findings would appear to be due to the obstructive sleep apnea. Recommendations: 1. A CPAP titration is highly recommended to eliminate the severe sleep apnea.

So what this means to the normal man on the street I stop breathing 44 times per hour and every episode last from 25 to 70 seconds per time so my brain only gets oxygen 53% of the time while I sleep.

Discovery refused to pay for a cpap machine as they saw it as cosmetic, and refused to pay because I did not have any comorbidities. Again to give the man on the street the info putting me at risk for heart conditions, diabetes, strokes, heart attack and much more.

Today I'm 28 and have a hear condition that was caused due to the sleep apnea, my heart specialist reapp**** for a sleep study and a cpap machine. Now Discovery is again looking for all excuses to pay again, the cardiologist send all the reports they need but the keep turning around and stating they need more information delaying the process. And they changed their process again.

We have now given up with discovery and managed to buy the cpap machine privately, now the fight starts over again. To have a new sleep study done again and get the machine set in.

The day I resign from my employer the first thing I change is Discovery Health as I'm forced by them to be with discovery.

I asking for everyone to think twice before this happens to you, our neighbor bought a new car that she insured and was shocked to hear what Discovery does with a persons health I bring into account what they would do with a R400 000 needless to say she changed insurance companies.

Thing ding ding - let the fight begin again
